Art galleries

Give visitors more context without crowding the walls

There is only so much on a wall label before it starts competing with the work. NuvoGuide gives your gallery a way to put authorised context, artist intent, materials, and exhibition themes in front of a question, without adding more text to the room.

Context that belongs to your gallery, not to an algorithm

Visitors ask how something was made, what the artist intended, and why two works are hung together. Those answers belong to your gallery. A general model reading an image is not the same as the artist's own statement or your gallery's documentation. NuvoGuide is built around the text and information your team provides and reviews.

Their AI assistant

This oil on linen opens the show. The artist mixed the pale field to match the wall colour, making the boundary between painting and room deliberately ambiguous. The gallery chose it as the first work in the sequence because it sets the tonal register for everything that follows. That is the authorised note, not a reading of the image.

What you bring to a pilot

  • A list of the works you want to cover and their exhibition details
  • Photographs and any rights you have confirmed for reference use
  • Artist-approved descriptions and statements, kept separate from your own editorial
  • Notes on availability when a show changes or a work leaves the wall

One room or one temporary exhibition

Start with one room or a single show. Name who updates the records when a work changes. Commerce and sales can come later; the starting point is context and interpretation.

How the workflow is intended to work

Questions venues ask

What about image rights?

You control what is stored and used as reference material. NuvoGuide does not source images from your collection without your permission.

Where do we draw the line on interpretation?

Your gallery's documented copy and artist statements are what we work with. A model's reading of an image is not the same as that, and we do not present it as if it were.

Our shows change frequently.

When a work comes down, the record needs updating. We will help you put a simple process in place for that as part of the pilot.

Does this work for commercial galleries too?

Yes. The starting point is interpretation and context. Commerce and purchasing can be a later direction.
